Accountably is operated by Bannermedia Ltd, a UK private limited company registered in England & Wales (company no. 13237724), at 20–22 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU. Bannermedia Ltd is the data controller for any personal data processed through Accountably.

Bannermedia Ltd is registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office under registration ZC099501.

What we collect

When you create an account we store your email address and a hash of your password. We do not see or store the plaintext password at any point.

While you use the product, we record the timestamps of focus sessions you start, end, or abandon, and we maintain the list of friends you have connected with. Real-time presence state (who is online, who is currently focusing) is held in memory by the server only while you are connected, and is not persisted in the database.

What we do not collect

• We do not run third-party analytics on the marketing or product surface. No Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel, no LinkedIn insight tag.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers.
• We do not read the contents of your work or monitor activity outside of focus-session start, stop, and duration.

Where your data lives

Accountably runs on dedicated hardware operated by Hetzner GmbH in Finland. All persistent data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We do not transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area for processing.

Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to ask us to correct it if it is wrong, to ask us to delete it, and to ask us to stop processing it. Email hello@bannermedia.ltd and we will respond within 30 days.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/concerns.

Changes

If we change this notice we will update the date at the top of the page and, for material changes, notify registered users by email.
