Accountably uses the smallest set of cookies it can. We do not use cookies for advertising, cross-site tracking, or third-party analytics.

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the service to work. You can’t use Accountably without them.

  • _accountably_key: the signed session cookie set when you log in. It keeps you logged in, scopes real-time presence to your account, and carries a per-session cross-site-request-forgery token used to protect form submissions.

That cookie is the only one we set. We do not use a separate CSRF cookie or any other tracking cookies on the marketing site.

What we don’t use

  • No advertising cookies. We don’t serve ads.
  • No third-party analytics cookies. No Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel, no LinkedIn insight tag.
  • No cross-site tracking. Accountably runs on a single domain we operate ourselves.

Controlling cookies

Your browser lets you block or delete cookies on a per-site basis. Doing this on Accountably will log you out and prevent you from logging back in, because the session and CSRF cookies are required for authentication.
