Accountably uses the smallest set of cookies it can. We do not use cookies for advertising, cross-site tracking, or third-party analytics.

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the service to work. You can’t use Accountably without them.

• _accountably_key: the signed session cookie set when you log in. It keeps you logged in, scopes real-time presence to your account, and carries a per-session cross-site-request-forgery token used to protect form submissions.

That cookie is the only one we set. We do not use a separate CSRF cookie or any other tracking cookies on the marketing site.

What we don’t use

• No advertising cookies. We don’t serve ads.
• No analytics cookies. We count page views with Umami, which we host ourselves and which sets no cookies. The privacy notice lists what it records. No Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel, no LinkedIn insight tag.
• No cross-site tracking. Accountably runs on a single domain we operate ourselves.

Controlling cookies

Your browser lets you block or delete cookies on a per-site basis. Doing this on Accountably will log you out and prevent you from logging back in, because the session cookie is required for authentication.
